Wheel hub with rotor for wheel speed sensor

Pay attention notes and table

Rotor is welded to wheel hub

Backing plate

Snap ring

Check for proper seating

Wheel bearing

Before pressing in wheel bearing, coat entire inner surface of bore in wheel bearing housing with Molypaste

15 - 

Self-locking nut

Tightening torque: 75 Nm

TT VR6 Roadster: 150 Nm

^

Always replace if removed

16 - 

Ball joint

^

Mark installation position; if control arm is replaced, place in center of elongated hole and check toe setting/camber

Brake carrier

Brake caliper

Do not disconnect brake hose when working on front suspension

^

Tie in position with wire or similar

19 - 

Guide pins, 25 Nm

20 - 

Protective cap

21 - 

Ribbed bolt, 125 Nm

Clean ribbing on underside of bolt head

^

Brake line must not be twisted or kinked

22 - 

Self-locking nut

^

60 Nm plus and additional 90°1/4 turn

^

Always replace if removed

Wheel bearing housing

Before pressing in wheel bearing, coat entire inner surface of bore in wheel bearing housing with Molypaste

Drive axle

Pay attention to notes and table

Pressing drive axle out of wheel hub; pressing in, Drive axles

Disconnecting suspension strut from wheel bearing housing

Insert special tool - 3424 - as shown and force wheel bearing housing apart.
