Malfunction Indicator Lamp -K83, Testing
Testing operation of warning lamp

Switch on ignition.

The self-diagnosis warning lamp (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) should light up.

Start the engine.

If the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory has not registered any faults relating to the exhaust emissions, the Malfunction Indicator Lamp
should go out shortly after the engine is started.
NOTE: The signal to switch on the warning lamp is transmitted between engine control module and instrument cluster via CAN bus. Check data
transfer between engine control module and other control modules with CAN interface.
