Canister Purge Control Valve: Testing and Inspection
With Generic Scan Tool

Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Regulator Valve 2, Checking

Recommended special tools and equipment

-

VAG1526 multimeter or VAG1715 multimeter

-

VAG1594 connector test kit

-

Wiring diagram

Test requirements

-

Fuse for Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Solenoid Valve -N115- OK

-

Ignition switched off

-

Hand brake is engaged

Front Wheel Drive (FWD) vehicles

-

Remove EVAP canister cover at bottom of spare tire well (arrows).

All Wheel Drive (AWD) vehicles

-

Disconnect exhaust system at double clamp (arrows).

-

Remove right rear bracket for exhaust system.

-

Disengage rear part of exhaust system on brackets.

NOTE:  Exhaust system decoupling element must not be bent more than 10 degree , otherwise it may be damaged.
