Pump should activate.

^

VAS 5051 should indicate "system OK".

-

Repeat test several times to verify result.

Note:

You MUST remove and install the clamp (to release pressure), prior to repeating test.

If test continues to indicate "system OK":

Pump is OK (leak is not at the pump or hose connections at pump).

Switch ignition OFF.

-

Reinstall fuel cap.

Test EVAP system for leaks using the KLI9210 EVAP Tester (see Repair Manual Repair Group 20.

If LDP fails test:

Pump or hose connection between pinched hose -1- and pump are not OK.

Check and ensure hose -1- and/or connections between EVAP Canister and LDP are not leaking.

-

Recheck using "071" again and verify that hose and connection are OK.

If hose connection(s) are NOT OK:

-

Repair connection or replace hose -1- as necessary.
