Procedure for both sides of vehicle

Remove side instrument panel cover. Refer to => [ Instrument Panel Side Cover ] See: Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and
Repair/Instrument Panel.

Remove sill panel strip - 3 - from door sill in transition area to lower A-pillar trim. Refer to => [ Sill Panel Trim Assembly Overview ] See:
Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement.

Unclip lower A-pillar trim - 2 - with Trim Removal Wedge (3409).

Installation

To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order. Observe the following when doing so:

‹› If trim clamps remain in body mounting points, remove these and insert them in trim.

‹› Check clamps for damage or deformation, replace if necessary.

When installing, guide lower A-pillar trim - 1 - under them - arrow  - in transition area to upper A-pillar trim -  2 -.
