Rear Brake Pads

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque wrench (V.A.G 1331)

Removing

-

Raise vehicle.

-

Remove wheels.

Do not loosen parking brake cable from brake caliper 

-

Remove brake caliper housing while counter holding at guide pins. 

-

Remove brake caliper housing from brake disc.

-

Hang brake caliper housing with wire so brake hose is not damaged by weight of brake caliper.

CAUTION!
Do not kink or bend brake lines and brake hose.

Remove brake pads and pad retaining springs from brake carrier -  arrows -.

‹› When removing, mark brake pads that will be used again. Install in the same position, otherwise braking effect will be uneven!
