Clean brake caliper housing, in particular the adhesion surface for brake pads. This must be free of adhesive residue and grease.
Clean brake caliper with mineral spirits exclusively.
Installing
Installation is reverse of removal, with special attention to the following:
Only push back brake piston when inserting new brake pads. => [ Rear Brake Caliper, Pressing Back Piston ] See: Brake Caliper/Service
and Repair/Procedures/Rear Brake Caliper, Pressing Back Piston.

Insert brake pad retaining springs - arrows - and brake pads into brake carrier.

Remove protective foil on backing plate of brake pad.
‹› Position brake caliper on brake carrier or brake disc.

Secure brake caliper housing using new self-locking bolts. Observe tightening specification:
‹› The repair kit includes four self-locking hex bolts which must be installed in all cases.

Check brake fluid level, and fill if necessary.
CAUTION!
After installing brake pads, depress brake pedal several times firmly to properly seat brake pads in their normal operating position.
