Detaching Refrigerant Pipes From Condenser/re-attaching
NOTE: Condenser is available in different versions, depending on version of vehicle.
Detaching
-
Drain refrigerant circuit
-
Remove center noise insulation
-
Disconnect electrical connector on High Pressure Sensor G65 - item A -.
-
Remove bolts - C -.
-
Disconnect refrigerant lines - B - and - D - from condenser.
NOTE: Seal open pipes and connections at condenser with suitable caps (to prevent ingress of dirt and moisture).
Attaching
Installation is the reverse of removal, noting the following:
NOTE:

Coat O-ring seals lightly with refrigerant oil before installing.

Ensure O-ring seals - E - (different versions) are seated correctly in groove - arrow - on respective refrigerant line.

Following attachment, check routing of refrigerant lines on condenser. They must be inserted in holders provided and not make contact with other
components.

Replace O-rings - E -.

Check fitting pin - G - (not installed at all connections) and connection - F - for damage and proper seating.

Tighten bolts - C -.
-
Torque specification: Bolts on refrigerant line connection on condenser - 12 Nm.

Evacuate and fill refrigerant circuit.
-
Re-install remaining components removed.
