Starter, TT, DSG Transmission

Removing

‹› When installing, reinstall all cable ties that were loosened or cut during removal in the same locations.

With ignition switched off, disconnect battery Ground (ND) wire. Refer to=> [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] See: Battery/Service and
Repair/Removal and Replacement/Battery.

Remove protective boot cable tie - arrow -.

-

Disconnect electrical connector - 2 -.

-

Fold protective boot - 1 - back and remove B+ wire from solenoid switch.

-

Remove ground wire - 3 -.

-

Remove lower starter bolt (accessible from above).

-

Remove upper starter bolt and remove starter.

‹› Disregard item - 4 -.

Installing

‹› Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Starter Assembly Overview ] See: Starter Assembly Overview. 

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

Connect battery. Required actions =>  See: Battery/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Battery.
