Thermostat: Service and Repair

Coolant Distribution Housing with MAP Controlled Engine Cooling Thermostat

Removing

-

Remove generator. 

-

Disconnect coolant pipes => [ Coolant Lines ] See: Turbocharger Coolant Line/Service and Repair.

-

Pull coolant hose - 2 - off from coolant distribution housing, thereby pull out retaining clip - 1 -.

-

Remove bolts - arrows - and remove coolant distribution housing with Map Controlled Engine Cooling Thermostat ( F265) from engine.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

‹› Tightening torques => [ Engine-Side Coolant System Assembly Overview ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine-Side

Coolant System Assembly Overview

‹› Always replace gaskets and seals.

‹› Secure all hose connections using hose clamps appropriate for the model type.

Clean sealing surface for O-ring.

-

Replace O-ring and coat it with coolant.
