‹› Adapter for oil filling (VAS 6262)
‹› Safety glasses
‹› Acid-resistant protective gloves
‹› Gear oil for Direct Shift transmission 02E
Work procedure
Proceed as follows:

‹› Observe cleanliness rules when working on transmissions => [ Clean Working Conditions ] See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic
Transmission/Transaxle/Service Precautions/02E Transmission/Clean Working Conditions.
‹› Follow notes in regard to Direct Shift transmission 02E "Oil disposal regulations" => [ Direct Shift Transmission ] See: Transmission and
Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Description and Operation.
‹› Only the gear oil for Direct Shift transmission 02E that is available as a replacement part may be used. Other oils can cause malfunctions or
transmission failure.
CAUTION!
Risk of injury due to hot gear oil.
‹› Wear eye protection.
‹› Wear acid-resistant protective gloves.
CAUTION!
Risk of transmission damage.
‹› Engine must not be started if there is no gear oil in the transmission.
‹› Transmission not in emergency operation mode.
