Specified value: about 5 V

Switch ignition off.

If the specified value was obtained:

-

Replace the Intake Flap Motor ( V157)/Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor ( G336).

If the specified value was not obtained:

Checking wiring

If the manufacturers test box is being used. Perform the following step.

-

Install the test box. Refer to 2.0 Liter 4-Cyl. 4V Turbo Fuel Injection & Ignition, Engine Code(s): BWA. Repair Group 24.

If the manufacturers test box is not being used. Perform the following step.

-

Remove the Engine Control Module (ECM) (J623). Refer to => [ replacing ] See: Computers and Control Systems/Engine Control
Module/Testing and Inspection/Engine Control Module (ECM) (J623).

Using a Multimeter, check the Intake Flap Motor ( V157)/Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor ( G336) electrical harness connector terminals
to the Engine Control Module (ECM) (J623) electrical harness connector T60 terminals for resistance.

Specified value: 1.5 ohms Max.

If the specification was not obtained:

-

Check the wiring for a short circuit to each other, Battery (+), and Ground (GND).

-

Check the electrical harness connector for damage, corrosion, loose or broken terminals.

-

If necessary, repair the faulty wiring connection.

If no malfunction is detected in the wiring:

-

Erase the DTC memory. Refer to => [ Diagnostic Mode 04 - Erase DTC Memory ] See: Computers and Control Systems/Testing and
Inspection/Scan Tool Testing and Procedures/Diagnostic Modes 01 - 09/Diagnostic Mode 04 - Erase DTC Memory.
