Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 28 number 10-05 dated March 12, 2010 for reasons listed below.
AFFECTED VEHICLES
CONDITION
^ Radio turns on and off while driving.
^ Clock in radio sporadically does not work.
^ Door locks actuate while driving.
TECHNICAL BACKGROUND
Sporadic disruption of S-contact due to lubricant on the contact surface.
PRODUCTION SOLUTION
The S-contact is improved with modified lubricant that has better electrical conductivity and improved viscosity. In addition, 100% microscopic
inspection is in place.
SERVICE
Replace ignition switch.
