Oil Filter Housing: Procedures

Oil Filter Housing, Draining

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Oil Collecting and Extracting Device (V.A.G 1782 )

‹› Oil Drain Adapter (T40057)

Remove dust cap - arrow - on the oil filter housing. 

-

Hold the oil drain adapter hose (T40057) in the oil collecting and extracting device (V.A.G 1782).

Install oil drain adapter in the oil filter housing.

‹› A valve in the filter housing opens when the oil drain adapter is installed. 

-

Allow engine oil to drain completely.
