Oil Filter Housing: Removal and Replacement

Oil Filter Bracket

Removing

-

Remove oil cooler. Refer to => [ Oil Cooler ] See: Oil Cooler/Service and Repair/Oil Cooler.

Drain oil filter housing. Refer to => [ Oil Filter Housing, Draining ] See: Procedures.

Press release buttons and remove crankcase ventilation pipe -  1 -.

-

Remove bolts - arrows - and oil filter bracket.

Installing

‹› For tightening specifications, refer to => [ Oil Filter Bracket and Oil Cooler Assembly Overview ] See: Oil Filter Bracket and Oil Cooler

Assembly Overview.

Installation is in reverse order of removal, noting the following: 

‹› Replace seals and sealing rings.

‹› Secure all hose connections using hose clamps appropriate for the model type.

Install oil baffle. Refer to => [ Oil Baffle Installation Location ] See: Oil Filter Bracket and Oil Cooler Assembly Overview

Install oil cooler. Refer to => [ Oil Cooler ] See: Oil Cooler/Service and Repair/Oil Cooler.
