‹› To prevent dirt from entering, seal open lines and connections on the turbocharger with clean plugs or protective caps.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, noting the following: 

‹› Replace seals, O-rings and self-locking nuts.

‹› Fill turbocharger with engine oil at the oil supply line connection. 

‹› The hose supports, air guide pipes and hoses must be free of oil and grease before installing.

‹› Secure all hose connections with hose clamps appropriate for the model. 

‹› To ensure the turbocharger is supplied with enough oil, let the engine run at idle for approximately 1 minute after installing the turbocharger. Do

not increase the engine speed during this time.

Install coolant ventilation line. Refer to => [ Coolant Pipes Assembly Overview ] See: Cooling System/Coolant Line/Hose/Service and
Repair/Coolant Pipes Assembly Overview.

Follow the instructions for installing the air guide pipes and hoses with connector couplings. Refer to => [ Air Guide Pipes and Hoses with
Connector Coupling ] See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Turbocharger/Intercooler/Service and Repair/Air Guide
Pipes and Hoses with Connector Coupling.

Install front exhaust pipe with the catalytic converter and front muffler. Refer to => [ Front Exhaust Pipe with Catalytic Converters and Front
Muffler ] See: Exhaust Pipe/Service and Repair.

Check the engine oil level.

Install noise insulation.

Fill with coolant. Refer to => [ Filling ] See: Cooling System/Service and Repair/Procedures.
