Rear Final Drive 0BR, Checking Axle Oil Level

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1331)

‹› Charging Device F/haldex 2 Coup. (VAS 6291)

Test requirement

‹› Vehicle on a flat surface

‹› For the transmission fluid specification for rear final drive. Refer to.

Oil Level, Checking

-

Place Drip Tray for VAS 6100 (VAS 6208) under final drive.

-

Remove bolt - 1 -.

The oil level is correct when the rear final drive is filled to the lower edge of the filler hole.

-

Insert the plug - 1 - and fasten.

Tightening specification: 15 Nm

Oil, filling:

-

Add enough oil using Charging Device F/haldex 2 Coup. (VAS 6291) until it runs out between the filler tool adapter and the transmission housing.

-

Remove the filler tool and adapter; a little oil left over will run out.

The oil level is correct when the rear final drive is filled to the lower edge of the filler hole.

Insert the plug - 1 - and fasten.

Tightening specification: 15 Nm
