Left and Right Driver Knee Airbag Supports

Removing

CAUTION!
‹› Observe safety precautions for work on airbags. Refer to => [ Airbag System General Safety Precautions ] See: Service Precautions.

Remove driver side knee airbag. Refer to => [ Driver Knee Airbag ].

Remove bolts - 1 - for right - 2 - and left - 3 - supports from mounting bracket/steering column -  4 -.

-

Then remove the supports - 1 - and - 2 - from the brace and mounting bracket/steering column - 4 -. Remove bolt - 3 -.

Installation

To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order. Observe the following when doing so:

‹› Observe safety precautions for work on airbags. Refer to => [ Airbag System General Safety Precautions ] See: Service Precautions.

‹› Before handling airbag units (e.g. disconnecting electrical connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". This

can be done by touching door striker, for example.

Install driver side knee airbag. Refer to => [ Driver Knee Airbag ].
