Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder: Service and Repair
Lock Cylinder
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
‹› Locking Pin (T40011)
Removing

Remove steering column trim.
‹› To remove lock cylinder, replacement key without illumination and radio function is necessary because removal is only possible using a key with
flat grip.

Turn replacement key to ignition "on" position, cut out in trim - arrow - aligns with hole in ignition lock.
‹› Right lock position is shown without ignition lock to provide a better illustration.

Insert the Locking Pin (T40011) all the way into the hole and remove the lock cylinder - 1 - with the induction coil from the steering lock housing

CAUTION!
Risk of steering lock seizing.
‹› Steering lock must not be operated without lock cylinder.
‹› A seized steering lock must be replaced.
