Removing

-

With ignition switched off, disconnect battery Ground (ND) wire. Refer to=> [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] See: Battery/Service and
Repair/Removal and Replacement/Battery.

Disconnect electrical connector - 4 -.

-

Fold the protective boot - 3 - back and remove B+ wire - item 5 - from solenoid switch.

Remove ground wire - 2 -.

-

Remove upper starter bolt - 1 -.

-

Remove nut - 3 - on lower starter bolt and remove wiring harness bracket - 2 -.

-

Remove lower starter bolt - 1 - (accessible from above) and remove starter.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:
