Shift Cable: Service and Repair

Selector Lever Cable

Removing

-

Place selector lever in position "P".

-

Switch ignition off.

-

Remove upper and lower sections of air filter housing.

-

Remove securing plate - C -.

-

Press securing plate - A - upward and remove.

-

Press selector lever cable off of selector shaft lever -  arrow - and remove from bracket - D -.

‹› Selector lever cable must not be bent or kinked.

-

Remove the front - 1 - and rear - 2 - noise insulation.

-

Remove exhaust system. See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Exhaust System

Remove driveshaft. 

-

Remove heat shield - arrows -.
