1 Series E81 118i (N46T) 3-door
Installation:
Replace and lubricate O-rings (1 to 3).
Replace oil filter element (4).
Note:
Reinforcement plate is not shown.
Open screw plug (1) in oil sump.
Installation:
Replace sealing ring.
Tightening torque, 11 13 1AZ
.
Pour in engine oil.
Start engine and run at idle until oil pressure warning lamp
goes out.
Note:
Vehicles with dipstick:
•
Park vehicle on a horizontal surface.
•
Switch off engine, wait approx. 5 minutes and then check
engine oil level.
•
Top up engine oil if necessary.
Vehicles without dipstick:
•
Park vehicle on a horizontal surface.
•
Allow engine at normal operating temperature to run for 3
minutes with increased revs (min. 1000 / max. 1500 rpm).
•
Read off engine oil level in instrument cluster or on Control
Display.
•
Top up engine oil if necessary.
