1 Series E81 118i (N46T) 3-door
In event of heavy oil carbon residue:
Carefully remove oil carbon residue from cylinder wall.
Important!
When removing and installing pistons, make sure the spray
nozzles (1) for piston cooling are not incorrectly adjusted
(risk of damage).
Release connecting rod bolts (1).
Remove conrod bearing cap (2).
Screw special tool 11 8 330 (matching M8 E10 A/F conrod
bolts only) into conrod.
Press out conrod with piston to cylinder head side.
RA Removing and installing/replacing all pistons (N46T)
