1 Series E81 118i (N46T) 3-door
Note:
Take care - screw (1) can fall out very easily.
Remove lower screw (1) of chain guide.
Remove upper screw of chain guide (1).
Note:
Chain guides (1 and 2) are locked in place with 4 lugs.
Carefully compress chain guide (2) and remove chain guide (1).
Installation:
Pull up timing chain and install chain guide (1).
Unscrew hollow union bolt.
Push oil line (1) for lubricating exhaust camshaft approx. 20 mm
towards rear.
