1 Series E81 118i (N46T) 3-door
Carefully press chain guide (3) apart and feed in timing
chain (1).
Pull timing chain (1) upwards.
Important!
Note installation direction of sprocket wheel (2).
Collar on sprocket wheel (2) points to crankshaft.
Feed sprocket wheel (2) into timing chain (1).
Pull timing chain (1) upwards until sprocket wheel (2) rests
against chain guide (3).
Hold timing chain (1) and sprocket wheel (2) in this position.
