Replacing all valve springs - cylinder head
removed (N46T)
Special tools required:
•
11 4 480
•
11 9 001
•
11 9 009
•
11 9 011
•
11 9 015
•
11 9 320
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove cylinder head.
•
Remove exhaust camshaft.
•
Remove bearing bridge and remove on special tool
11 9 320 .
•
Remove roller cam followers.
•
Remove all hydraulic valve clearance compensating
elements and set down in neat order on special tool
11 4 480 .
Place cylinder head on special tool 11 9 001 .
Align special tool 11 9 015 in direction of valve shaft and select
corresponding groove in special tool 11 9 009 .
Press valve spring down on spring retainer and hook in with
special tool 11 9 011 .
RA Replacing all valve springs - cylinder head removed (N46T)
