Removing and installing/replacing vacuum
pump (N46T)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Press brake pedal several times to reduce vacuum in brake

booster.

Remove microfilter box.

Release screws and remove vacuum pump (1).

Tightening torque: 11 66 1AZ

.

Note:

For purposes of clarity, this work step is shown on the engine after
it has been removed.

Installation:

Replace sealing ring (2).

Drive (1) must be turned into correct position prior to installation.

Note:

For purposes of clarity, this work step is shown without the
cylinder head cover.

Align drive (1) of vacuum pump to groove (2) of exhaust
camshaft.
