Replacing tank venting valve (N46 / N45/
N46T)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Read out fault memory of DME control unit.
•
Switch off ignition
•
Installation location: Tank vent valve is fitted at side on intake
air manifold.
•
E83: Remove intake filter housing
Note:
For purposes of clarity, this work step is shown on the engine after
it has been removed.
Unlock hose on intake manifold and detach.
Unlock and detach plug from tank vent valve (1).
Detach tank vent valve (1) from holder and raise approx. 3 cm
upwards.
Detach hose (2) from tank vent valve (1).
Note:
Check stored fault messages.
Now clear the fault memory.
