Risk of damage!
When working on trim panel components, make sure that the
sensitive surfaces are not scratched or damaged.
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Move selector or gear lever towards rear
•
Remove trim for gearshift
•
Detach panel for pedal assembly from storage compartment
•
Detach instrument panel trim at bottom from storage
compartment
•
Remove trim on storage compartment at rear
•
Remove gaiter for handbrake lever
E87 up to build date 03/2007 only:
•
Remove instrument panel trim
