Removing and installing/replacing exhaust
camshaft (N46T)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove ignition coils.
•
Remove spark plugs.
•
Remove cylinder head.
•
Remove vacuum pump.
•
Remove inlet and exhaust adjustment unit.
•
Remove inlet camshaft with bearing bridge and store
temporarily on special tool.
Remove oil line (1).
Note:
Retaining clips (1) for oil line are fitted on bearing
caps 1 and 4.
Release nuts on bearing caps in 1/2 turn increments from outside
inwards.
