Removing and installing/replacing door
handle light on left or right front door
Important!
Read and comply with notes on handling wiring harnesses
and cables.
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove sound insulation from front door
•
Remove cover on outside handle
Note:
Work is shown on the E81 by way of example. There may be
differences in detail in the case of other vehicle models.
Inner door panel partially shown transparent.
Disconnect plug connection (1).
Release all attachment points of wiring harness (2).
Raise door handle light (4) slightly and remove in outward
direction from carrier for outside door handle (3).
Installation:
Make sure door handle light (1) is correctly positioned in
area (2).
Guides (3) of door handle light (1) must be seated in carrier for
outside door handle (4).
