Front axle
The front axle is made of aluminium: a high degree of stability with low weight.
This lightweight construction contributes to the optimum 50:50 axle-load distribution.
The front axle is a double-link, spring-strut front axle.
The wheel is guided as follows:

by 2 links: by a tension strut and a pressure strut
The steering is a front-mounted rack-and-pinion power-steering system.

The rear axle has been specially developed for the E87. The rear axle is a five-link axle. This ensures especially
good wheel guidance.
