Inlet camshaft
A
Exhaust camshaft
Insert exhaust camshaft.
Position (1) of inlet camshaft gear flush with cylinder head.
Position (2) of exhaust camshaft gear flush with cylinder head.
If necessary resecure secure camshafts.
Marking (1) on inlet camshaft must be between markings (2) on
exhaust camshaft.
See illustration.
The exhaust camshaft bearing covers are marked A 1 ... A 5
from the exhaust side.
Oil all bearing points.
Fit bearing covers.
Insert all bolts and initially tighten without play.
Tighten down exhaust camshaft bearing caps in 1/2 turn
increments evenly from inside to outside.
