Replacing charge-air pressure sensor
(M47T2)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Read fault memory of DDE control unit
•
Switch off ignition
•
Remove acoustic cover at front
•
Remove acoustic cover at rear
Note:
Installation location: On intake air manifold, rear
Unlock plug (1) and remove.
Release screw (2).
Remove charge-air pressure sensor (3).
Installation:
Check sealing ring (1) of charge-air pressure sensor and replace
if damaged.
Prior to installation, apply a thin coat of anti-friction agent to
sealing ring (1) of charge-air pressure sensor.
Insert locating pin on charge-air pressure sensor in bore on intake
manifold.
Note:
Check stored fault messages.
Now clear the fault memory.
