The 5-door hatchback is 24 cm shorter than the current BMW 3-Series (E46).

Design
Compact class with the sporty design of a Coupé: Short overhangs indicate agility. The long engine bonnet
implies power and class.
The angle of the windscreen is relatively steep due to the set-back A-pillar. This gives occupants a better view of
the engine bonnet than the competition.
The striking tailgate opens up high: The opening height of 1.80 m makes it easier to load and unload the
vehicle.
