1 Series E87 118d (M47T2) 5-door
The cockpit has been designed entirely around the driver: The centre console is slightly tilted towards the driver. All
key control functions are located around the easy-to-handle 3-spoke steering wheel. The steering wheel can be
adjusted for both height and reach.
The two round instruments display engine speed and road speed. The display in between shows the distance
recorder, gear indicator and on-board computer. The protruding cover prevents unwanted reflection.
The footwell is generously dimensioned. The pedals are located in the middle.
The foot rest is positioned well to the front: an ergonomic benefit that front-wheel-drive competitors cannot offer.
The asymmetrically split rear bench seat can be folded forwards.
A ski bag can be installed in the area of the middle seat backrest. Or a stowage compartment with drinks holder.
A luggage compartment separation net secures luggage in the event of emergency braking. Up to 1,150 litres
load volume!

Passive safety and ergonomics inside the vehicle
The seats are designed not to meet both the high quality demands of sporty drivers and also the function
requirements for long-distance driving.
The adjustment ranges are generously dimensioned for both very tall and less tall passengers.
