Removing and installing / replacing eccentric
shaft (N42 / N46)
Special tools required:
•
11 9 320
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove ignition coils.
•
Remove spark plugs.
•
Remove cylinder head.
•
Remove inlet and exhaust adjustment unit.
•
Remove inlet camshaft.
Turn bearing bracket (1) round and deposit with eccentric shaft
upwards in special tool 11 9 320 .
Clamp special tool 11 9 320 as illustrated in a vise.
Release screws and remove eccentric shaft sensor (1).
