Replacing wiring harness section for ignition
coil (N46)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Read out fault memory of DME control unit
•
Switch off ignition
•
Remove intake duct
•
Remove microfilter housing
•
Remove acoustic cover
•
Remove ignition coil cover
•
Disconnect battery
Unfasten nut.
Disconnect positive lead (1).
Work step
Note:
Unlock plug on DME control unit and disconnect.
Unlock plug on VVT relay and disconnect.
Unclip fuse.
Unlock plug connection in rear section of electronics box and disconnect.
Withdraw profile seal from electronics box.
Installation:
To ensure leak-tightness, make sure
profile seal is correctly seated in
electronics box.
