Removing and installing/replacing pressure
sensor on pressure accumulator of fuel
injection system (N47)
Read out fault memory of DDE control unit. Turn off
ignition.
Remove and install acoustic cover.
Remove pressure accumulator (rail)
Important!
When working on the oil, coolant or fuel circuit, you must
protect the alternator against contamination.
Cover alternator with suitable materials.
Failure to comply with this procedure may result in an
alternator malfunction.
Recycling:
Catch and dispose of escaping fuel.
Observe country-specific waste-disposal regulations.
Grip removed rail (2) at flattened area.
Cover plug-in contacts on pressure sensor and remove locking
paint from thread with a suitable cleaning agent. Remove any
adapters fitted on pressure sensor. Clean thread and sealing face
on pressure accumulator and seal with protective cap.
Note:
Grip at pressure accumulator when removing pressure
sensor (3).
