Nominal values for repair painting times
E87
Situation:
The time parameters for calculating flat rates for repair painting have been updated and
adapted for the new painting procedures, application techniques and environmentally
compatible painting materials.
The procedure for carrying out repair painting is described in the BMW Group "Painting
Handbook".
New:
•
The flat rates include the different painting procedures for metal and plastic parts.
•
The production of a colour sample sheet is proportionately included in the flat rates.
•
The flat rates differentiate between painting parts that are installed and parts that have
been removed.
Procedure:
With the introduction of the 1-Series (E87) and for subsequent new models, flat rates for
repair painting will be calculated using the new time parameters.
