Tightening specifications for main bearing:

1)

Tighten down screws (2) of lower crankcase to jointing

torque.

2)

Tighten down screws (2) of lower crankcase with special

tool  00 9 120 .

Tightening torque 11 11 2AZ .

Remove lower crankcase.

Read off bearing play at width of flattened plastic thread on
measurement scale.

Crankshaft bearing clearance radial.

Note:

Remove plastic thread.

Coat main bearing shells and crankshaft with engine oil.

Installation:

Replace screws (2) of lower crankcase.

There must be no oil in the blind holes (risk of cracking).

Note:

Wash and oil screws.

Insert screws (2).

Tightening specifications for main bearing:

1)

Tighten down screws (2) of lower crankcase to jointing

torque.

2)

Tighten down screws (2) of lower crankcase with special

tool  00 9 120 .

Tightening torque 11 11 2AZ .

RA  Replacing all main crankshaft bearing shells (N40/N42/N45/N46)
