Feed out inlet adjustment unit (2) with sensor gear (3).
Installation
Important!
Risk of mixing up parts.
Exhaust and inlet adjustment units are different.
The different engine variants have different adjustment ranges.
Mixing up exhaust and inlet adjustment units or installing an
exhaust or inlet adjustment unit of another engine variant will
result in engine damage.
1.
Exhaust adjustment unit (1) is marked with AUS and EX.
2.
Inlet adjustment unit (2) is marked with EIN and IN.
Note:
Position of inlet adjustment unit (2) to timing chain can be freely
selected.
Lift timing chain and hold under tension.
Note:
The sensor gears (3) on inlet and exhaust sides are the same.
Fit sensor gear (3) on inlet adjustment unit (2) and feed in
together.
Replace screw.
Install screw of inlet adjustment unit and tighten without play.
