Unlock lug (1) in direction of arrow, slide plug (2) out of DME
plug (3).

Release screws.
Remove cable duct (1).

Work step

Note:

Release connector from fuel rail and remove

Cut through cable ties.

Release connector at actuator motor for eccentric shaft and unplug

Unlock plug on eccentric shaft sensor and disconnect

Release connector from ignition coils and unplug

Release connector from ground connection

Unlock plug on both solenoid valves and disconnect

Release connector from pulse generator for intake camshaft and unplug

Release connector from pulse generator for exhaust camshaft and unplug

Unlock plug on coolant thermostat and disconnect

Cut through cable tie.

Remove wiring harness section.

Note:

Check stored fault messages.

Now clear the fault memory.
