Checking function of CNG metering unit
Test precondition: adjustment of low-pressure regulator
O.K.,
refer to 13 80 500
Draining CNG system,
refer to section on draining CNG system
Switch off ignition.
Unfasten socket head cap screw (1).
Installation:
Replace sealing ring.
Tightening Torque, refer to
Technical Data 13 81 1AZ
Secure test adapter 13 8 025 on top of metering unit with banjo
bolt provided.
Installation:
Perform leak and pressure test,
refer to 13 80 600
Connect differential pressure gauge 13 8 021 to measuring
adapter 13 8 025 with adapter line 13 8 022. This measures
the pressure differential with atmospheric pressure.
Disengage gear, start engine and change over to CNG operating
mode by pressing the CNG button.
Differential pressure - engine speed
0.40 bar - 1000 rpm
0.30 bar - 2000 rpm
0.25 bar - 3000 rpm
0.20 bar - 4000 rpm
0.25 bar - 5000 rpm
