3 Series E36 316g (M43) COMP
Check screw connections (1/2/3) on high-pressure non-return
valve for leaks with leak tester spray.
Leak test:
If the leak test is O.K., a pressure test should then be carried out.
If a leak is detected during the leak test, tighten down the
appropriate screw connections on the clamping rings,
refer to section on opening/closing CNG-Swage-Lok connections.
Pressure test:
Disconnect test adapter 16 8 010.
Gas tank must be at least two thirds full. Connect special tool
13 8 010 to the diagnosis socket, switch on ignition and activate
the high-pressure non-return valve. Slowly open gas cock on gas
tank.
Perform leak test with leak tester spray as in the leak test.
If the leak test is O.K., switch off ignition and disconnect special
tool 13 8 010.
If a leak pictures during the pressure test, tighten down the
appropriate clamping ring screw connections,
refer to section on Opening/closing CNG-Swage-Lok connection.
Then perform another pressure test. If leakage continues, screw
connection (line) must be replaced.
Caution!
Always remove special tool 13 8 010 before test runs to
avoid malfunctions.
