Replacing trunk lid (compact)

Removing and installing trunk lid,

refer to 41 62 000

Fit following parts and replace if necessary:

- 

Trunk lid lock

- 

Lock cylinder

- 

Switch for central locking

- 

Designation

- 

BMW emblem

- 

Both rubber mounts

- 

Lettering if necessary

- 

If necessary, wiper arm with wiper blade

- 

If necessary, complete console for rear window wiper

- 

Rear window with gasket

On vehicles with rear window wipers it is necessary to drill a bore
for the rear window wiper.

Mark out bore (1), peen and drill through with a 

∅

 3.5 mm spiral

drill.

Drill out bore (1) to 

∅

 24.5 mm.

Distance (A) = 612 mm

Dimension (B) = 17 mm from rear window gasket (rubber strip)

Note:

Protect bare sheet metal from corrosion!
