Replacing alternator drive belt (M40. M42)
Unfasten nut (1) and remove screw (2).
Tightening drive belt: refer to 12 31 299
Caution!
In event of excessive drive-belt wear, always investigate the
cause of wear.
Examples of faults:
Belt pulleys not parallel, wear on belt pulley.
