Flange connection without compression spring

Loosen the flanged joint.

Separate exhaust.

Installation:

Replace screws and nuts.

Alignment the flanged joint.

Note:

Sealing taper is produced by upset pipe.

Installation:

Lubricate flanged joint lightly with copper paste CRC, refer to
BMW Parts Service.

Turn flanges until maximum possible ground clearance is
provided.

Align the flanges parallel to each another.

Align the exhaust system and insert the screws.

All

Loosen the exhaust bracket at the rear axle carrier.

Remove rubber ring.

Installation:

Only after the installation of the exhaust system is complete,
align by pushing and tighten down the exhaust bracket.
