Electric test on Motorola alternator (65/80A)
Note:
Alternator disassembled
Make tests with BMW Service Tester.
Check rotor winding for breaks, short circuit to earth and shorted
turns.
Resistance of coil 4
Ω±
10

Check stator winding for short circuit to earth and breaks.
Use a standard shorted-turn test probe.
Check diodes - note polarity.
Replace entire diode plate in case of a faulty diode,
refer to 12 31 695
