Removing and installing / replacing Bowden
cable (actuation reversal on trunk lid)
Open side windows.
Unlock soft top and raise over dead center.
Lift clamping bracket and soft top compartment cover upright.
Removing actuating lever,
refer to 51 25 010
If necessary, remove loudspeakers,
refer to 65 12 020
Squeeze together Bowden cable and lift out.
Remove cover on center guide (transfer point).
Lift out cover on reversing mechanism.
Lift out retaining plate and disconnect Bowden cable. Squeeze
together locking device and lift out Bowden cable.
Installation note:
Adjust Bowden cable to zero backlash.
